What we do?

The Alum Rock Santa Clara Street Business Association is dedicated to provide family and local businesses with advocacy, to connect and promote business members to resources within our boundaries to create a thriving business community.

  1. VTA/BRT- Small Business Assistance Program, granted over $2m to affected ARSCSBA members in 2015-2016
  2. Restoration of left and U-turns along six business association intersection in our ARSCSBA corridor that were cutting customer access to member businesses.
  3. Websites built
  4. Grants awarded thanks to work of ARSCABA advocacy

Our Awesome Story

The Alum Rock Santa Clara Street Business Association (ARSCSBA) was founded in October 2015, by business owners wanting to improve the business environment within their business district.

The association was incorporated in 2016 and was became a 501c6, business league, in August 2019.

ARSCSBA serves the Alum Rock corridor to the east between 101 and 680 and to the west on Santa Clara St between 101 and 22nd St. It is a volunteer ran organization with a strong history of serving its members.

LIGHT UP ALUM ROCK​

Light-Up Alum Rock is designed to revitalize outside lighting along the Alum Rock – Santa Clara Street corridor. The strings of lights will bring charm and a sense of festivity to our business district. And create neighborhood pride amongst residents who drive thru, walk along or visit our business corridor. Funding for this project was provided by generous support from D5 residents in the 2017 participatory budget.

HOW CAN YOU (BUSINESS OWNER) HELP AND PARTICIPATE:

Because of the limited funds we have to do the project, we can’t do the installation of the lights, therefore we will need to share responsibilities:

WE WILL

Provide you (business owner) the supplies including: LIGHTS, TIMERS AND CLIPS OR HOLDERS needed for the installation.

YOU WILL

Install the Tree Lights (if you have trees in front of your business) or Install Decorative Lights around your windows (if no trees in front of your business). You will also pledge to have the lights TURNED ON FROM 5PM TO 10PM EVERY NIGHT*

NOTE:

To create a sense of uniformity along the corridor we ask you to please install only the color (white) of lights we provide you. If you would like to add more lights to your business frontage you are welcome to do it but please keep the same white color.
